Howl-O-Scream is not your average theme park event . Its dark, loud, fast-paced, and filled with screamsand thats just behind the scenes. Were looking for strong, focused leaders who thrive in intense environments and are passionate about executing world-class immersive horror experiences.
If you're an experienced stage or event manager who thrives under pressure, can guide performers through high-energy scare zones, and keep a cool head in chaotic moments, you may be exactly who we're looking for.
What You Get to Do:
As a Howl-O-Scream Event Coordinator, you'll be the driving force behind the daily operation, rehearsal process, and execution of this large-scale, immersive event. Your role includes:
Leading the operational and artistic execution of a designated Howl-O-Scream zone or attraction
Monitoring assigned scare zones and mazes to ensure design intent and safety standards are upheld
Supervising scare actors
Coordinating rehearsals, Scare Schools, and training sessions
Creating and maintaining show documentation including cue sheets, show bibles, and SOPs
Preparing and distributing nightly performance and rehearsal reports
Collaborating across departments to maintain artistic integrity, production schedules, and operational safety
Supporting onboarding of new performers
Maintaining high energy, professionalism, and guest focus during a fast-paced and high-intensity event
What It Takes to Succeed:
Previous event or stage management experience is required especially in fast-paced, immersive, or intense environments
Minimum 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree in Entertainment, Theater, or Management preferred)
The typical work week during event operation is Thursday through Sunday , with extended hours during rehearsals, install, and strike. Willing and able to work nighttime hours , weekends, and holidays as required by the event
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working in dark, outdoor environments with theatrical effects such as fog, strobe lights, loud soundscapes, and costumed characters
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of theatrical systems such as lighting, fog, and special effects
Ability to receive and implement feedback quickly and constructively
Valid state drivers license preferred
What Else is Important:
This is a high-intensity seasonal position . While fun and rewarding, it requires emotional stamina, leadership under pressure, and the ability to maintain team morale during long and late hours.
Guest service and experience in immersive theater, haunted attractions, or large-scale events is a plus.
You must be able to maintain a professional demeanor while managing performers and ensuring safety, even in chaotic or unpredictable scenarios.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time , including during rehearsals and active show times
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds
Must be comfortable working in outdoor and low-light environments with varying weather conditions
Comfortable working in and around theatrical effects including fog, strobe lights, loud sounds , and themed elements

Compensation: 20.00 USD Hourly
