Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or directly related field to the position or equivalent, preferred. Minimum of 10 years of IT experience. IBM Certified Database Administrator DB2 for i Experience with other database technologies is a plus, (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, Snowflake, Sequel Server). Familiarity with IBM Power Systems hardware Familiarity with PHP, Cloud Computing, Node.js, other IBM MDM tools (Informatica), and stateless CGI development architectures. Ability to organize and managemultiplepriorities simultaneously. Ability to work well independentlyorwithina team. Stronginterpersonaland customer service skills. In-depth knowledge of IBM i operating system (OS/400), database management, services of the IBM i System Catalog, SYSTOOLS, QSYS2, and tools like IBM Access Client Solutions (ACS) IBM Navigator, STRSQL, etc. Expertise in database performance tuning, backup, recovery, and security. Strong understanding of DB2 for i SQL and relational database management principles. Familiar with multiple partitioned environments and impacts to database changes across mirrored environments. Experience with IBM i system hardware, memory, and storage configurations. Familiarity with IBM i job management, work management, and system resources. Experience in developing software application components using IBM i application languages: ILE RPG, ILE CL, DB2 SQL/PL, Java. Familiar with the IBM i modern programming concepts used with the Integrated Language Environment (ILE) for Programs and Service Programs. Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory compliance standards related to database management. Understanding of industry best practices pertaining to DB2. Experience in Performance Tuning and Capacity Planning. Scheduling flexibility to meet the needs of the business, including weekends, holidays, and 24/7 on call responsibilities on a rotational basis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications required. Manual Dexterity: Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards Audio/Visual: Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio, e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media. Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation. This role requires effective adaptation to workplace stressors, including customer service complaints, security responsibilities, and competing priorities. Must be able to adhere to process protocol. Must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner. Schedules: Work is primarily performed during the business week, Monday - Friday. Occasional night or weekend may be necessary.
