Detailed Job Description: We are seeking a skilled ETL Developer to join our team for a critical project involving the migration of various databases to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) and GCP, with a strong understanding of ETL processes and data migration. Proficiency in Python is a plus. The candidate should be comfortable working in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities: • Data Migration: Lead the migration of various databases like Oracle to GCP, ensuring data integrity. • ETL Development: Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using IICS to extract, transform, and load data from various sources to GCP. • GCP Expertise: Utilize GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer to build and optimize data pipelines. • Python Scripting: Develop and maintain Python scripts for data processing and automation tasks. • Agile Methodology: Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability. • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes, data flows, and system configurations. • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to data migration and ETL processes promptly.
Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Experience: • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in ETL development and data migration. • Proven experience with IICS and GCP. • Experience with Oracle databases and SQL. • Proficiency in Python is highly desirable. • Experience working in an agile environment. • Technical Skills: • Strong knowledge of ETL tools and processes. • Expertise in GCP services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, Cloud Composer). • Proficiency in SQL and data modeling. • Familiarity with Python scripting for data processing. • Soft Skills: • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong communication and collaboration abilities. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications: • Certifications: GCP certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer) are plus
