Supports Meditech application software with a firm understanding of module functionality and integration. Consults with department liaisons to analyze processes and recommend automated solutions and best practices to meet objectives. Provides application support by troubleshooting issues. Communicates issues to vendors and coordinates delivery of software fixes. Responsible for the implementation and support of system interfaces, CCDs, HIE, and other methods of electronic data transfer. Effectively communicates project status updates to Director of IT Applications. Demonstrates the ability to set priorities and completes assignments within acceptable time limits. Uses basic project management skills to coordinate and oversee the delivery and testing of custom or standard software changes including major software upgrades. Minimum education, knowledge, skills, and abilities required: A 24-year degree in Computer Science from college or university is preferred. A minimum of seven years' experience in application support as programmer, analyst, accounting, or a healthcare related field. This individual needs to be highly trained in all aspects of the Meditech System. The working knowledge of personal computers (workstations and servers) is preferred. Must be able to implement, maintain, and support specific Meditech applications. Analyzes processes which relate to these applications and consults with users regarding improvements to maximize efficiency. Must be able to communicate and effectively exchange information with Information Systems staff, other Meadville Medical Center staff, physicians, physician office staff, and other customers. Must be available for after hours on-call coverage for patient care critical interface issues. Preferred behaviors: Dedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity.
