Information Systems & Services Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $106,604.71 - $170,567.54 Leads the work of Business Intelligence (BI) applications and technology work unit. Assists executives in developing BI application and technology management strategies. Responsible for directing BI development lifecycle work such as data application requirements analysis, design, procurement, development, implementation, and maintenance while assuring interoperability with the rest of the organization’s application systems and related IT infrastructure. Connects BI/analytics stakeholders, including data consumers, developers, operational executives, project leaders, third-party application representatives, technical and infrastructure team members, and business intelligence developers (BIDs). Directs business use case analysis via project management methodology to assure understanding of analytic requirements and ensure those requirements can be achieved through high-quality deliverables. Works closely with business users, vendors, developers, data engineers, and data scientists to monitor evolving business needs and application and technology advancements. Aligns application and technology to ensure integration capabilities among information systems and the IT infrastructure. Understands interactions between systems, applications, and services, and evaluates the impact of changes or additions. Educates the organization on environment and technology changes influencing business processes and technology choices. Analyzes and tests systems to assure usability, performance, security, and reliability. Specific Responsibilities Assists the director in IT strategic and tactical planning, including setting priorities, coordinating, and reporting program status and issue resolution. Coordinates training across supported product lines, including staff training and development programs. Works cooperatively with all user groups and affected IT units to coordinate plans and activities, including development projects, software upgrades, and installation of new products. Provides weekly and monthly reports on activity status and resource utilization forecasts. Identifies areas where policies, procedures, and activities require change or new development, especially regarding future applications or initiatives. Recommends necessary policies and procedures. Facilitates the development and maintenance of application or technology-based systems designed to support hospital real-time operations and provide timely, efficient information. Assigns, coordinates, and reviews the work of staff. Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Healthcare, or related field; Master’s preferred. 5-7 years of experience, especially in clinical or healthcare application development, process analysis, reporting, technology planning, and implementation. Healthcare experience is essential. At least 2 years of staff management experience. Strong project management skills. Experience implementing enterprise-wide clinical or healthcare solutions to improve patient care and operational efficiencies. Experience gathering and organizing analytic use cases. Experience enforcing data governance principles and standards. Experience using or deploying BI applications like Epic Cogito and Microsoft Power BI.
