About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Product Marketing with a strong background in cybersecurity, particularly in the areas of malware analysis, threat intelligence, application security, and the software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and managing the overall product marketing strategy, defining the company's positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation. This role is pivotal in building a product marketing department that focuses on accelerating go-to-market clarity to drive differentiation and growth. The VP will be expected to have a deep technical understanding of cybersecurity technologies, customer pain points, and marketing messaging, and a proven track record of producing industry, product, and technical content that effectively communicates the value of the company's technology and solutions.
Applicants for the VP of Product Marketing position at the company should have at least 15 years of experience in product marketing within the cybersecurity industry, with a preference for those with a background in software supply chain security or threat intelligence. The role requires a leader with a combination of public company and VC-backed startup experience, a track record in building new market categories, and a deep understanding of the security market and competitive landscape. The ideal candidate will have a technical background or a clear understanding of the product lifecycle, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to manage projects across functional teams. Leadership capabilities, including the ability to build and maintain high-performing teams, are also essential.
