General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking an IT Engineer with Microsoft Enterprise Systems Administrator Advisor experience to join our team in support of a Federal Intelligence Agency contract. In addition to a competitive salary and benefits, the IT Engineer will work with a talented team of colleagues. Primary responsibilities include: Providing Tier II support for maintaining multiple large enterprise environments, including Microsoft-based networks across security enclaves within hybrid (Windows & RHEL) environments. System administrative advisory duties, managing Windows and Linux workstations (EVDI and physical). Troubleshooting application functionality, crashes, and performance issues. Investigating user performance issues and collaborating with external teams to improve user experience. Assisting customers with Tier 2 incident resolution for Linux and Windows applications. Providing remote end-user desktop support. Identifying, analyzing, and resolving system incidents with short-term workarounds and long-term solutions, including responding to escalated service requests. Communicating effectively in both oral and written forms with various individuals and working well within team environments. Providing initial incident triage, response, and notifications. Participating in special projects as required. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of related systems administration experience. TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Current DoD IA certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE (preferred), SSCP, or Cisco CCNA-Security. Must attain DoD 8570 CE training within six months of hire. Desired knowledge and skills: Active Directory Administration, DNS, DHCP, DFS, LDAP. Experience with Windows 10, Server 2012, 2016. Application troubleshooting (Outlook, Excel, Word, Java, Internet Explorer). Linux OS familiarity. Knowledge of ServiceNow, NETS, or other ticketing systems. Understanding of ITIL v3 or higher. Additional advantageous skills: Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager. PowerShell scripting. Virtualization environments (VMware, Citrix). Profile management with VMware UEM.
