Job Description
Job Position: Network Engineer Location: Troy, MI REQUIRED SKILLS: Service provider Core, Edge, Border, Access and Aggregation routing and switching equipment. Voice and data peering. Attention to detail with great communications skills to interact/articulate in a professional manner. Network Telemetry within Network Monitory Systems (NMS). Usage of TACACS+, AAA services. DDoS monitoring and mitigation. Network Protocols and OSI models (TCP, UDP, VLAN, and MPLS). Standard best practices for network development and design. Networking, Telephony and VoIP terminology. Knowledge of SIP/RTP/TLS/SRTP/ENUM/DNS. Wireshark & PCAP applications. Elastic Logging systems. Juniper, Cisco, JUNOS, Traverse, AdTran, Fortinet. Certification preferred - CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, or CCDE w/influence on Service Provider tracks. Excellent time management, organization, decision making and problem solving Flexibility to work during planned and emergency maintenance windows. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with end users to meet appropriate deadlines. Ability to sit for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds, when necessary.
