To help us drive excellence, you'll get to:
• Perform day-to-day operations of technical security systems with assistance from other teams including Endpoint Security, EDR, SIEM, Firewall, IDS, MDR SOC, etc.
• Provide operational oversight of all elements of IT security for the organization.
• Identifies and defines scope of technology-related issues and ensures all issues are logged, tracked, managed, and resolved in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Works to identify and safeguard the organization from intrusion, security threats, security weaknesses, software bugs and exploits.
• This position serves in a coordinating role with the Cyber Security Team for both operational and strategic elements.
• Supports ITIL and CIS Controls frameworks including a balanced approach to support CIS 20 critical controls.
• Assists with the development of policies and procedures in support of Cyber Security.
• Ensures operational health of security tools.
• Assists in maintaining a highly secure system environment through proper configuration and system access monitoring.
• Performs hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications.
• Assist with account auditing for external and internal audits as they pertain to cybersecurity operations.
• Monitors and communicates to stakeholders regarding the security of the environment.
• Works with external Cyber Security consultants, Pen Testers and Cyber Security Insurance consultants.
• Assists and coordinates staff training in security awareness skills. Ensures associated protocols, methodologies and procedures are implemented successfully.
This full-time salary-exempt role is a part of our Corporate Information Technology team and reports to the Cyber Security Supervisor.
Required experience:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in Cyber Security Operations experience
- Knowledge of relevant IT Security related hardware, software and vendor solutions.
- Extensive practical knowledge of computer operating systems
- Ability to quickly get to the root cause of complex issues utilizing available tools
- Successful track record of effective project coordination, prioritization and timely delivery
- Effective customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Security+, CySA+, a+ Cyber or equivalent certifications
