THE WORK: You'll inspect the construction of a wide variety of airport improvements and utilities projects to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, contracts, permits, environmental documents, agreements for work, and may provide construction inspection support. You'll conduct comprehensive daily inspections of mechanical and plumbing systems across building and terminal construction projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and project specifications, review and interpret construction documents including blueprints and shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders. You'll demonstrate strong proficiency in preparing comprehensive daily inspection reports that clearly document the WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, and HOW of all observed construction activities, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and accountability in tracking progress and identifying issues, deficiencies, or safety concerns in a timely manner. You'll verify contractor compliance with local and national mechanical and plumbing codes, and LAWA-specific standards. You'll track and document time-and-material work, field changes, and job quantities You'll assist in validating contractor progress payment requests based on an approved schedule of values. You'll support special inspections and testing activities, coordinating with engineers, contractors, and third-party agencies as needed. HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED: High School diploma (or equivalent) 3 years or more of experience performing mechanical inspections on large scale Public Works type projects Current ICC Certification as a Commercial Mechanical Inspector 30-hour Cal-OSHA training received within the last 4 years prior to assignment
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE: Additional Current ICC certification as a Commercial Plumbing Inspector NFPA 70E standards training within the last 3 years Plumbing experience (journeyman/master level) with progression into inspection Experience inspecting mechanical systems of large-scale commercial, industrial or public buildings Confined Space Entry Training Experience overseeing and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations on significant construction projects Involvement in complex projects that require coordination with multiple stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and city officials Expertise in identifying and addressing deficiencies, ensuring that all aspects of construction meet the required standards. A strong understanding of diverse code requirements (CBC & CMC)
$141,203 - $155,324 a year
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Massachusetts, Illinois, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York or Washington as set forth below.
