The Senior Infrastructure Engineer has a mid-level understanding of various IT infrastructure components and how they work together to enable applications and support services. While specializing in areas like servers, compute, network, storage, data centers, communication, data protection, and virtualization, Senior Infrastructure Engineers are encouraged to develop moderate expertise across multiple disciplines. They support lead engineers with infrastructure implementation, automation, and maintenance, and provide feedback, recommendations, and documentation throughout the infrastructure’s lifecycle to support continuous improvement within our IT Service Management discipline. Responsibilities Mentoring and training junior team members Serving as an escalation point for Infrastructure Engineers Analyzing current systems and procedures, recommending design modifications Planning infrastructure roadmaps, keeping systems current and supported Implementing and maintaining enterprise standards Installing and configuring systems per design specifications Analyzing, troubleshooting, repairing, and tuning complex systems and hardware Supporting the ITIL Service Transition process with documentation and training Testing and evaluating new technologies Monitoring environment health and managing support tickets and incidents Providing technical support and incident response 24/7 Conducting root cause analysis for failures Supporting infrastructure performance and capacity reports Communicating effectively with business and technical teams Responding to training and direction from managers and lead engineers Qualifications Minimum 4 years of relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field Experience supporting multiple infrastructure disciplines Ability to work with business units to apply technology solutions Intermediate certifications (e.g., RHCSA, CCNA, MCSA, VCP, CWNA, etc.) or storage certifications preferred; 4 years’ experience can substitute certification ITIL certification within 6 months of employment Effective communication skills in English Experience with WAN and LAN infrastructure Experience with management platforms and remote monitoring preferred Experience with protocol analyzers preferred Experience in mid to large enterprise environments Preferred experience: NetScaler and Wireless Networking Additional Details Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Information Technology Industry: Hospitals and Healthcare #J-18808-Ljbffr
