As a rapidly growing eCommerce company, we’re looking for a skilled In-House Counsel to join our team and provide legal guidance across our business. This role requires a proactive legal professional with hands-on experience in defending claims and class actions, drafting and negotiating complex contracts, and guiding internal teams on regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Defend the company against claims, including consumer complaints and class action lawsuits Manage ongoing litigation and resolve disputes effectively Contract Drafting & Negotiation Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including: Influencer and agency agreements Employee and independent contractor agreements Retail distribution and vendor contracts Manufacturing and supply chain agreements Compliance & Regulatory Guidance Advise internal teams on legal and regulatory compliance, with a strong grasp of applicable laws, including FTC guidelines, labor laws, and advertising standards Develop internal policies and training related to contract compliance and risk mitigation Cross-Functional Collaboration Serve as a legal advisor to departments such as Marketing, HR, Operations, and Procurement Provide practical legal advice that balances risk with business objectives Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed to practice in Nevada 5+ years of legal experience, including at least 2 years in-house or advising corporate clients Strong understanding of compliance terminology and regulatory frameworks Experience with litigation management, particularly in defending class action or consumer claims Expertise in drafting and negotiating contracts across various functions Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments Preferred Attributes Experience in the dietary supplement or wellness industry, retail, or consumer goods sector Knowledge of privacy laws (i.e. CCPA, GDRP), and ecommerce best practices Familiarity with influencer marketing legal standards Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of legal matters Familiarity of subscriptions models and terms of use Why Join Us?
