Scheduled: 3 days per week, 12 hours shift rotating Saturdays

As an X-Ray Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that imaging tests are performed safely and correct.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Interpret the order for the test to determine what body parts need imaging.
- Explain the test to patients and positioning them to make the test possible.
- Set the controls on X-ray equipment in preparation for imaging.
- Check X-ray images and retake them as needed to ensure clarity.
- Clean and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep X-ray equipment operating smoothly.
- Send X-ray images to providers for reading.
- Inventory and stock films and radiologic supplies.
- Work with clinic team to keep inventory and supplies in stock.
- Update patient records with pertinent information.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks and results as needed.
- Understands and follows the Code of Conduct and HIPPA guidelines.
- All other duties as assigned
What You'll Need
- Completed Radiology program ideally one accredited by the JOint REview Committee on Education in Radiology (JRCERT)
- Active and unrestrictive license in the state of practice.
- ARRT certification required.
- Understanding of radiologic science, anatomy and complex medical terminology related to X-rays.
- Strong oral communication skills to provide clear instructions to patients during testing.
- Critical thinking skills to interpret orders.
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot problems with equipment.
- Observational skills to spot problems with images and ensure that patients remain correctly positioned.
- Computer skills to use picture archiving and communications systems and medical records software.
