DRS Land Systems is seeking a full-time Software Engineer Level III. This position provides technical and analytical work to develop, design, and support both our tactical development and tactical network development across multiple defense industries. Duties include maintaining Linux and Windows servers, our software development tools, administering and updating our Windows embedded environments, and configuring network switches used in our tactical systems. The selected candidate will collaborate with engineering disciplines and leverage their software development expertise to create robust technical solutions across multiple technology areas. Job Responsibilities

Maintain Linux and Windows servers used in the development of tactical products. Administer, maintain, and develop Linux embedded images. Configure and update Windows embedded environments (PE, IoT, etc.). Maintain and update development environments, including CI/CD pipelines. Manage internal software development tools (e.g., Gitlab, Jenkins, Fortify). Configure network switches and update firmware in tactical systems. Develop and document processes supporting created environments. Specify and evaluate supplier software and hardware. Complete technical projects independently, reviewing specifications and designing solutions. Provide input on budget, costs, and schedules for design tasks. Communicate effectively with team members and customers. Offer technical support and knowledge sharing with engineers and support staff. Lead and supervise team members as assigned. Support and promote the organization's mission, values, and culture. Participate in engineering, customer, or business meetings. Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering or a related technical field with at least 5 years of experience. Experience managing software development tools (Gitlab, Jenkins, Fortify). Experience configuring Windows embedded environments (PE, IoT). Familiarity with containerization and virtualization technologies. Experience configuring managed switches. Excellent communication skills. Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently or in a team. Strong desire to learn and adapt. Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed. U.S. Citizenship is required. An active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain one is necessary. The expected salary range is $104,274 - $161,884 annually.
