For one of our long-term multiyear projects, we are looking for an Application Consultant - Junior Hadoop/Spark-Scala based in Charlotte, NC. Design and develop data processing applications for RDBMS and Hadoop data using Java, Spring Boot, Hive, Spark, Scala, REST API, and related technologies. Leverage DevOps practices such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Test Automation, and Build Automation. Utilize Test Driven Development to enable rapid delivery of working code using tools like Jenkins, Maven, and Git. Essential Skills 2-5+ years of solid Java/J2EE development experience, including programming and developing large-volume backend data applications. 3+ years experience with Spark/Scala, Hadoop, Hive, Java. Experience with Maven/Gradle build tools, GitHub. Support experience with cloud infrastructure in Linux and Windows environments. Related banking industry experience in platforms, banking applications, or online financial solutions. Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Design Patterns, and Java coding principles. Familiarity with Agile engineering practices.
