Genesis10 is currently seeking a Sr. Developer - Java Consultant with our client in the transportation industry in their Atlanta, GA location. This is a 12+ month contract position. Description: Seeking a Sr. Developer - Java Consultant Our client is on a journey to become the best IT organization in the airline industry, undergoing a transformation to create meaningful and innovative solutions. We are looking for team members to help realize this vision. Responsibilities: Analyze, design, construct, test, and implement business and technical IT solutions using appropriate SDLC methodology. Construct, test, and implement portions of IT solutions. Participate in solution implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and conversions. Use tools to analyze, identify, and resolve business and technical problems. Apply specialized knowledge in areas such as assembly/integration, knowledge engineering, or legacy evolution. Interact with the customer to understand the business environment and technical context. Validate scope, plans, and deliverables for projects. Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of IT solutions across multiple platforms and technologies. Define project scope, plans, and deliverables, including proposed implementation dates. Research, analyze, recommend, and implement new technologies and processes. Assist in defining alternative solutions for business problems. Requirements: 6+ years of experience. Proficiency in Java and Python; experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, and IAM. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools like GitLab CI, CodePipeline. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with event-driven architectures, serverless computing, and data streaming technologies like Kafka and Kinesis. Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies; AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Developer, Solutions Architect - Professional) are preferred.
