Description

SAIC is seeking a Solutions Architect AI Cloud who is a experienced Cloud Engineer subject matter expert and Java Developer to help lead the migration of large, complex Java applications from on-premises to the cloud. This exceptional position will be a key member of an emerging technologies lab which will support many product teams as they seek to migrate, modernize, automate, and innovate their applications. The ideal candidate will have strong background and extensive experience in AWS, Azure, and Google cloud, in migrating applications to the cloud, as well as having hands-on experience as a senior java developer.

Key Responsibilities:

  Operate and maintain an innovation lab for the ideation, design, and engineering of cloud native product migration, modernization, and innovation.

  n

• n

  Develop end-to-end plans for cloud migrations that are compliant with cybersecurity policies (FedRAMP, HIPAA, ETC.)

  n

• n

  Develop pilots, prototypes, and proof of concept solutions to validate cloud modernization and innovation plans.

  n
n
• n

  Support cybersecurity testing and Authorization To Operate certifications.

  n
n
• n

  Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into data-driven solutions.

  n
n
• n

  Support total experience initiatives including customer experience, user experience and human centered design through focus groups, metrics, wireframes, mockups, and information architecture development.

  n

• n

  Guide the migration of large complex Java applications from on-premises to AWS cloud

  n
n
• n

  Hands-on experience in Designing, developing and implementing scalable, secure, performant, and cost efficient cloud architectures.

  n

• n

  Hands on experience with IaC and scripting to automate DevSecOps pipelines, data and Model pipelines, setting up monitoring and logging

  n
n
• n

  Mentor junior developers on AWS best practices and cloud development.

  n
n
• n

  Support Agile product teams as cloud best practices subject matter expert.

  n
n
• n

  Analyze data and usage to find patterns and solutions to business challenges.

  n
n
• n

  Make business recommendations to stakeholders in a clear manner based on architectural best practices

  n
n

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

n
• n

  BS or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

  n
n
• n

  Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in cloud native development or similar role.

  n
n
• n

  Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance based on USPTO regulations 

  n
n
• n

  Candidates must have lived in the United States for the last 2 years

  n
n
• n

  Proven track record of delivering impactful cloud migration, innovation, and modernization solutions in a cloud native environment.

  n
n
• n

  In-depth knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Glacier, Terraforms, API Gateway, CloudSearch, Elastic Load Balancing , etc.)

  n
n
• n

  Expertise in Java, SpringBoot, Hibernate, JPA, and related frameworks

  n
n
• n

  Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (Git)

  n
n
• n

  Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, governance, policies, frameworks, and tools

  n
n
• n

  Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues

  n
n
• n

  Proven experience leading migration projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams

  n
n

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
