LOGISTICIAN (BSAD) Bowhead seeks a Logistician to join our team in supporting the upcoming Navy contract in Charleston, SC. The Logistician will be responsible for managing the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Flowcharts, and Procurement Action-Tracker. Responsibilities
Identify requirements and activities needed to provide comprehensive logistical support Prepare, review, and revise logistics documentation applicable to each program/project through all phases of the acquisition cycle (e.g., Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Maintenance Plans, Fielding Plans, etc.) Monitor progress toward meeting the logistics plan(s), identify causes and impacts of delays or problems, and recommend corrective actions Follow quality assurance processes governing logistics documentation development Conduct studies, prepare reports, and advise on feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory conformance of plans, proposals, and projects Evaluate logistics plans for feasibility, efficiency, and develop alternatives when needed Support logistics assessments and milestone reviews for evaluations, demonstrations, fielding events, and transitions Qualifications
Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification in Lifecycle [Acquisition] Logistics Advanced/Level 2 or equivalent; or demonstrate equivalent logistics training; or have at least 9 years of experience supporting defense lifecycle logistics Bachelors degree and 7 years of defense lifecycle logistics support of electronic systems; additional 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of certification acceptable At least 4 years supporting C4ISR or similar systems, including analyzing contracts, system design, engineering data, and developing logistics plans; experience supervising logistics specialists preferred Desired Skills & Requirements
Experience with Navy ACAT and AAP programs such as SSEE FoS, CCOP, FMS UK/NZ, DCGS-N FoS, ICOP, JTT-M, AIS, MDA, and ICADS Proficiency with DoD Acquisition and Lifecycle Management policies Experience with CMPRO, JIRA, and SAFE Agile Knowledge of FAR and FIAR standards Physical Demands
Lift up to 10-20 pounds Stand and walk for prolonged periods Twist, bend, and squat periodically Security Clearance
Must hold a Secret clearance; US Citizenship required Additional Details
