Jr. Network Engineer

6 Months - Contract to Hire Eligibility:
USC & GC Job Responsibilities:
Deploy, install, and configure hardware such as firewalls, switches, routers, load balancers, IPS, network monitoring systems, and other network security products. Write functional requirements and specifications documents for network projects and initiatives. Perform network maintenance activities including upgrading hardware, IOS upgrades, and network routing configuration modifications. Diagnose and resolve network problems through troubleshooting. Develop and implement network acceptance test plans for new network builds. Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning. Implement data center fabric changes for VXLANs, BGP, and OSPF environments. Follow best practices, processes, and procedures in all work. Maintain accurate records of configurations. Manage solutions involving copper/fiber patch leads, patch panels, connectors, etc., and report accordingly. Required Skills:
Minimum of five years' experience as a network engineer. Experience with a broad range of hardware including Cisco, Juniper, and Arista. Configuration experience with Cisco and Arista networking equipment. Deep understanding of IP networks. Experience working in an ITIL-controlled environment, with knowledge of Change Control, Incident Management, and Problem Management processes.
