- A progressive, Commercial General Contractor is looking for an Estimator
- Company focuses on high-end, technical projects in Commercial, Multifamily, etc.
Our client is a San Diego-based GC with multiple multi-family and commercial projects in the San Diego Area. Established a great reputation primarily focusing on multifamily and commercial projects, and they have a nice back log of projects and a great company culture that values employees. They are looking to add a Building and Construction Junior Estimator to their team in Carlsbad.
Job Description
- Solicit and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients
- Prepare and submit proposals, within time-frame and following up until closed
- Facilitate an effective hand-off to the project manager
- Monitor budgets throughout the construction process
- Evaluate and prepare pricing for change orders.
- Update & maintain accurate pipeline reports, track leads, bookings, forecasting, reporting
- Build out a small department of other estimating professionals
- Flexible enough to handle some project management duties
- Ability to lead from the front
- Utilize technology to actualize on effective project and cost delivery
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fields preferred but not required
- 2-3 years experience with projects with a budget of $5M+
- Candidate required to have an excellent track record as an estimator
- Candidates looking to progress their careers and fast track into a senior leadership role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software such as timberline
- Team player to work with various individuals from project start to finish
- Building and Construction Junior Estimator in Carlsbad
- Competitive base salary ($90-120k) depending on experience
