Job Responsibilities:
- Quality Engineer within Data Engineering and Analytics Department responsible for working directly with various teams and utilize the engineering competencies to bring the testing strategy to life.
- Assists in the preparation and conduct of Quality Assurance (QA) testing of new or modified applications/systems across multiple computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server).
- Provides help desk support to client and IT technical staff in resolving QA process or procedure related questions and required documentation.
- Assists in the implementation of QA software and systems and the development of effective testing plans through consultation with clients and IT technical staff.
- Participates in the development of special testing requirements and procedures and in the review of new or modified QA software.
- May participate in the analysis and development of new or revised QA procedures and processes.
- May implement modifications to QA software. Completes day-to-day Quality Assurance & Testing tasks without immediate supervision but has ready access to advice from more experienced team members. Tasks involve a degree of forward planning and anticipation of needs/issues.
- Resolves non-routine issues escalated from more junior team members. These tasks are happening in the PRODUCTION environment.
- Effectively communicates to individuals at all levels of the technical and business communities.
- Continuous focus on quality and innovations.
Skills and Experience Required:
- 5+ years of strong experience in ETL/BI/DW solution testing that involved Hive, Ab-Initio, Teradata and Unix.
- 3+ years strong SQL experience that involves writing and understanding complex queries.
- Experience and continuous testing mindset in CI/CD environment.
- Experience in Test management tools.
- Experience working with RESTful API services testing.
- Experience using tools like Jira, Confluence.
- Exposure to AWS Cloud technologies is desired.
- Proficient working in agile methodology
- Healthcare/Pharmacy business experience is preferred.
