JMT Technology Group, a leading geospatial and information technology solutions provider, is looking for a Data and Analytics Manager. The Data and Analytics Manager will be responsible for leading a team of data professionals delivering data solutions to JMT’s internal and external clients. Works with the Director of Software Solutions to develop data strategies and lead their implementation. This position leads a team of data professionals.

Essential functions and responsibilities

• Lead strategy and operations of big data and analytics consulting opportunities
• Develop data governance and data quality standards that are consistent with customer requirements (internal and external)
• Provide Business Intelligence and Analytics leadership in collaboration with internal practice leaders, emerging technologies and applications development implementation teams
• Lead and/or support business development and marketing opportunities
• Lead and/or support delivery of services and solutions
• Provide supervision and technical mentorship to business intelligence developers, data engineers and data architects
• Lead the Extract, Transform and Load process including developing data models to move data from one system to another
• Responsible for oversite of the development of complete and efficient data schemas to support JMT’s and our client’s business requirements
• Lead the Business Intelligence team developing data analytics for our business and clients that comply with industry best practices
• Partner with enterprise architects to ensure optimal data organization to enable efficient reporting capabilities
• Work as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and mentor to BI Developers and BI Specialists on Data Solutions team
• Document requirements for the Enterprise Data Platform relating to structured data and BI components
• Research and learn new technological capabilities to drive our offerings forward
• Design and Develop data warehouses
• Ensure data design is compliance with internal and external regulations and standards
• Translate business needs into business intelligence solutions
• Integrate data and reports with dynamic reporting engines such as Tableau and Power BI
• Provide estimates for development tasks
• Provide estimates for development across projects
• Innovate and contribute to improving development standards, techniques, tools, and processes
• Attend conferences, seminars, webinars, and/or on-line training on a regular basis to stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices
• Train and test for industry certifications
• Identify, set, monitor, and achieve individual goals
• Leverage mentorship and peer relationships to increase proficiency in development
• Provide support and mentorship to team members
• Participate in the personnel interview process
• Contribute to the development of RFP response material
• Develop project specific RFP response material
• Participate in RFP response presentations
• Collaborate with project managers, business systems analysts, UX designers, and application developers to deliver high-quality deliverables
• Support production systems as urgent and critical issues arise, including non-business hours support on a rotating basis

Required Skills

• Ability to work on multiple projects with minimal direction
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related fields
• 10+ years of experience designing and developing Business Intelligence Systems/Reports
• 10+ years of designing and developing SQL solutions
• 5+ years of experience developing and implementing big data and business intelligence platforms
• 5+ years of experience working in a hybrid agile development methodology
• 5+ years of experience with ETL processes and tools
• Experience with a variety of data warehouse and business intelligence applications
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with team members, customers, and consulting partners from a broad spectrum of disciplines

Preferred Experience

• 5+ years of experience developing reports and business intelligence dashboards in Power BI or Tableau
• 1+ years of project management experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, project managers and other team members.
• 2+ years of team leadership experience
• Experience with GIS technologies

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general hybrid office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
