Senior Finance (Borrower Side) Associate Attorney Job Overview: A distinguished law firm located in Washington, DC is currently seeking a Senior Finance Associate Attorney with significant experience in borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, fast-paced private equity finance practice, specializing in complex financial transactions and working with high-profile clients in the private equity sector. This role offers the opportunity to take on sophisticated projects and contribute to the firm's continued growth and success. Duties: Advise clients on borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, and leveraged finance matters. Provide counsel on complex financing transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop strategies for managing and mitigating financial risks. Lead negotiations and drafting of finance-related documentation for major transactions. Support clients in navigating financial structuring, debt facilities, and acquisition-related matters. Coordinate with other practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal solutions to clients. Mentor and supervise junior associates, providing guidance and training. Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction. Requirements: A minimum of 4 years of experience in borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance. Prior experience handling sponsor-side private equity acquisition financings is essential. In-depth knowledge of financial law, including private equity and credit markets. Strong negotiation and drafting skills with attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple complex transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-focused approach. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Active Bar membership in DC. Skills: Expertise in private equity finance and acquisition transactions. Proficient in drafting and negotiating finance-related legal documents. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective time-management and organizational skills.
