is seeking an experienced
Microsoft Power BI Developer
to design and deliver high-impact business intelligence solutions. This position is based in
New York, NY , with a focus on developing dashboards and data models that enable data-driven decision-making.
Hourly Pay Rate:
$82/hour

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and analytical reports using Power BI Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable insights Create and manage data models, perform transformations with Power Query, and write complex DAX expressions Integrate data using Azure Databricks and dbt to create gold-level reporting objects Develop and schedule Azure Analysis Services tabular models and implement security configurations Validate and troubleshoot data, ensure quality, and optimize performance Prepare technical documentation, including data sources, report specs, and processes
Technical Skill Requirements
Power BI, Power Query (M Language), DAX, Power Apps, Power Pivot, Power View Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Lake Analytics/Store, Azure Analysis Services (SSAS), SSRS Experience working with SQL and relational databases Familiarity with MongoDB, dbt, and Azure Automation Runbooks BI tool experience a plus (e.g., IBM Cognos, Tableau, QlikView) Proficient in designing paginated reports, subreports, drill-down and drill-through functionalities
Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related field Minimum 5+ years of experience in Power BI development Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services and data warehousing Experience with Databricks and dbt Strong proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, DAX, and data modeling Reinsurance industry experience preferred Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Microsoft Power BI certification or similar is highly preferred
