Join to apply for the Lab Calibration Technician role at Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom Kelly Outsourcing Consulting Group (Kelly OCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is seeking a Lab Calibration Technician for a long-term engagement with a global medical device client in Santa Clara, CA . Schedule: Monday through Friday, 1st shift Compensation: $32-40/hr Summary This hands-on role within the Preclinical and Clinical Engineering teams offers an excellent opportunity to work cross-functionally with various groups utilizing the Preclinical Labs. Support in this space will be crucial for developing the company's innovative digital surgery platform. The Calibration Technician primarily manages all internal and external instrument calibration and preventive maintenance work. Responsibilities Inspect medical equipment for defects, report malfunctions, and ensure resolution Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations on medical equipment timely Check records for test results and maintenance performed Coordinate scheduling for device servicing Ensure medical equipment is cleaned and documented according to set schedules Troubleshoot medical equipment failures Coordinate with customer service on pricing, repair lead-times, and approvals with external clients Maintain calibration database, monitor due dates, perform calibrations, and generate calibration certificates and reports Coordinate calibrations with external vendors for equipment that cannot be calibrated internally Evaluate vendor qualifications and monitor performance Participate in audits Maintain good documentation practices Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required Experience in biotech labs or medical research preferred Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical research advantageous Familiarity with GLP is a plus Attention to detail and strong communication skills required Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications Ability to handle cadaveric and animal tissue Minimum 2 years as a Calibration Technician Training in Metrology (e.g., PMEL, TMDE) preferred Experience with quality systems (ISO-17025, ISO-9001, MIL-STD-790) desirable Experience in electrical, physical dimensional, or RF calibration beneficial Ability to lift 40 pounds Strong record-keeping and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment Excellent teamwork and communication skills Problem-solving skills Self-motivated and detail-oriented Basic electrical and optical knowledge #J-18808-Ljbffr
