Job SummaryCurrently seeking a Pathology Resource Tech for the Anatomic and Molecular Pathology Lab in Wilmington, NC.Work Schedule: 7:00am-3:00pmLocation: New Hanover Regional Medical Center, 2131 South 17th Street, Wilmington, North Carolina 28401Department: Anatomic and Molecular Pathology LabStatus: Non-Exempt. For more benefit information, please visit our website here: Benefits | Team Members | Novant HealthPathology Resource TechnologistResponsible for insuring the Anatomic Pathology department is operating in compliance with all accrediting agencies' standards. Monitoring work performance and supervision of operations and processes. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining accurate and compliant policies, procedures and protocols; supervision of the section, timely review of quality control and process management; instrument maintenance and problem solving. Assists the manager and pathologists in evaluation of new instruments/equipment and pathology procedures. Acts as a resource for patient caregivers, laboratory management, the medical director and the laboratory staff and serves as the technical supervisor in the absence of management. Education: BS in Cytology, Histology, Molecular Pathology or related biological science, OR60 semester hours including either 24 semester hours of medical laboratory courses or 24 semesterhours of science courses (6 hours chemistry; 6 hours biology; and 12 hours in chemistry, biology, ormedical laboratory technology, or any combination2. Licensure/Certifications: CT(ASCP), HTL(ASCP), HT(ASCP) or Equivalent, or meet CLIA criteria to perform high complexity testing.3. Experience: 3 years of experience as a cytotechnologist, histotechnologist, histotechnician, or molecular technologist in clinical setting preferred.Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence.Performs other duties as assigned.Individual will possess commensurate combination of education, experience and qualifications.Job Opening ID 57452
