The Laboratory Technician I, using general laboratory methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing America's Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures, supports laboratory operations through general maintenance of laboratory and supply storage areas, equipment, instruments, and supplies. The lab does Indoor Air Quality testing. The Laboratory Technician will work in the TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy) Department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Demonstrates and promotes the company vision Performs sample preparation which may include, but is not limited to, a combination of the following methods: Bulk, AHERA, Soil, Dust Performs sample log in Performs equipment calibrations, daily balance check, thermometer and other basic lab activities Maintains, cleans, prepares glassware, and other laboratory appliances for the use in TEM sample preparation Lab Stocks laboratory supplies Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner Assists other laboratory areas as needed Qualifications
Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ): Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: High school Chemistry coursework, basic laboratory experience Ability and/or Skills (BMQ): Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment Responsible, reliable and good team player; like routine work. Production work Good communication, organizational and computer skills Good attention to detail Problem solving skills Ability to multi-task Experience handling micropipettes and tweezers is preferred Additional Information
Requirements: Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English Position is full-time working Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Occasional weekend work is needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Cary, NC are encouraged to apply. Pay rate: $18/hr Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
