Turret Press / Laser Operator
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Turret Press/Laser Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC turret presses and laser machines to fabricate metal components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, good math and computer skills, and the ability to read blueprints. Key Responsibilities: Review setup sheets and blueprints to determine machine setup procedures, sequences, and finished dimensions. Attach punching tools to tool holders, position holders in the machine, and initiate laser operations. Load control media (tapes, disks, etc.) into machine console and input commands as required. Operate controls to punch or cut materials to precise dimensions. Monitor laser gas usage and adjust parameters based on material type and thickness. Shear materials per order requirements and assist in maintaining accurate sheet stock inventory. Perform routine cleaning of work area and machine tools; support preventative maintenance tasks as needed. Follow safety guidelines and company procedures at all times. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational or technical training in machining or manufacturing is a plus. 1+ year experience operating turret presses or laser cutting machines preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, reaching, and bending for extended periods. Skills & Knowledge: Solid math and measurement skills. Basic computer proficiency. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Strong work ethic and reliability. Equal Opportunity Employer
