The salary ranges are estimates based on current market conditions and may vary. We consider qualifications, skills, experience, and location during the hiring process. Lead Engineer: $135,000 - $158,625 Sr. Engineer II: $123,700 - $135,000 Sr. Engineer: $106,500 - $123,700 Role Summary
The Market Design Engineer analyzes and evaluates the Markets+ market design, facilitates changes, and ensures compliance with FERC rules. This role involves collaboration with various departments and stakeholders, supporting FERC filings, researching market designs, and training junior staff. Key Responsibilities
Understand and apply SPP market rules Engage with market participants and stakeholders Recommend and facilitate market design changes Conduct market analysis and reporting Collaborate across departments for compliance Support FERC filings Research market designs from other RTOs/ISOs Develop training materials and lead discussions Qualifications
Bachelor's in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or equivalent Relevant experience: 5+ years (Engineer), 9+ years (Sr. Engineer II), 12+ years (Lead Engineer) Professional Engineer license preferred or equivalent experience Strong knowledge of power systems analysis tools Excellent communication skills Preferred Qualifications
PE license Advanced degree Utility industry experience Familiarity with SPP tools and regulations Work Details
Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Moderate travel (~10-15%) Additional Information
