Lead Data Engineer
where your expertise in Snowflake, IBM DataStage, and healthcare data systems will drive enterprise-grade platforms. This is a fully remote role where you’ll lead architecture design and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to implement scalable data warehousing solutions. Key Responsibilities – Lead Data Engineer (Snowflake and DataStage)
Architect and Design Healthcare Data Solutions
Design and develop enterprise-level data platforms using
Snowflake
and
IBM Netezza (NPS)
Architect HIPAA-compliant data solutions for
payer and provider
ecosystems
Build secure, scalable data warehouses tailored for healthcare analytics and reporting
Lead architecture reviews and ensure alignment with cloud migration strategies
Lead ETL and Automation Using DataStage and IWS
Design and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using
IBM DataStage
for structured and semi-structured healthcare data
Automate job workflows using
IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS)
Implement best practices in
data modeling, data sharing , and
data pipeline optimization
Healthcare Domain and Compliance Focus
Work with healthcare data models:
claims, enrollment, EDI (837, 835), HL7, FHIR , etc.
Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks:
HIPAA, SOC2, NCQA, CMS
Build solutions supporting
value-based care models, HEDIS, and risk adjustment
Collaborate and Lead
Guide and mentor a team of data engineers and junior architects
Engage with stakeholders across healthcare, IT, and compliance departments
Serve as a subject matter expert in technical discussions and solution roadmaps
Required Skills – Lead Data Engineer (Snowflake and DataStage)
10+ years in data engineering, cloud solutions, and healthcare data architecture
Advanced hands-on expertise in
Snowflake ,
IBM DataStage ,
IBM Netezza (NPS)
Strong command of
cloud platforms : AWS, Azure, or GCP
Proficient in
SQL ,
Python , and data pipeline tools
Familiarity with
Matillion, Talend , or
Informatica
is a plus
Deep understanding of payer-provider data systems and interoperability
Education and Certification
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Technical certifications in cloud platforms or data tools preferred
