As a Salesforce Developer, you will play a key role in building and customizing Salesforce-based solutions to support critical operations for the State of Michigan. You will develop and test using Apex, build integrations with external systems, and support CI/CD processes through tools like Jenkins and Azure DevOps. This position offers stability, meaningful work, and the chance to work with experienced cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities of the Salesforce Developer
Design, develop, and deploy Salesforce components using Apex, Visualforce, Triggers, and Batch classes
Configure and customize Salesforce modules such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Communities
Develop REST or SOAP API integrations with external systems
Utilize DevOps tools including GIT, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps for version control and deployment
Ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices for development and testing
Collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous delivery processes
Maintain documentation and support peer reviews and technical mentoring
Required Skills for the Salesforce Developer
5+ years of enterprise-level development and testing experience using Salesforce Apex
1+ year of hands-on experience in API integration (REST or SOAP)
Advanced experience with Salesforce configuration and development (Apex, Visualforce, Triggers, Batch, and Scheduled classes)
Strong knowledge of Salesforce Cloud offerings including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Communities
Familiarity with OAuth, Single Sign-On, and ETL tools
DevOps experience with tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and GIT
Understanding of Salesforce deployment tools such as ANT and Force.com IDE
Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Ability to mentor junior developers
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Strong preference for candidates with Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certifications
Preferred Qualifications for the Salesforce Developer
Development experience using UI technologies like Bootstrap, LDS, Lightning Components, JavaScript, or AngularJS
Experience working in the healthcare domain
Prior government or public sector project experience
Experience using training tools or mentoring in team settings

hybrid position
located in
Lansing, MI . Local candidates within an hour of Lansing are strongly preferred. Candidates must be available for
onsite work twice per week
