Job Category: PURCHASING Requisition Number: COMMI006050 Part-Time On-site Isla Bella Beach Resort 1 Knights Key Blvd Marathon, FL 33050, USA Key Responsibilities:
Receive, store, and distribute food items, supplies, and equipment to kitchen and F&B outlets. Assist in basic food prep duties such as chopping, portioning, or packaging per hotel standards. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO) of all items in cold storage and dry goods areas. Maintain inventory logs, track stock levels, and report shortages or spoilage to the manager. Assist with daily requisitions and deliveries to various hotel kitchens or banquet functions. Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards in the commissary and storage areas. Ensure all food and supply items meet quality and safety guidelines before distribution. Assist with unloading supplier deliveries and checking accuracy against purchase orders. Collaborate with kitchen and stewarding teams for smooth coordination and operation. Follow all hotel policies, food safety guidelines, and HACCP protocols. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 1+ year experience in a hotel kitchen, commissary, or storeroom environment. Basic knowledge of food safety and handling procedures. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods. Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable. Familiarity with inventory systems is a plus. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed. Work Environment:
Indoor commissary and kitchen environment. May involve refrigeration and freezer exposure. Fast-paced hotel setting requiring multitasking and teamwork.
