Life Enrichment Assistant - Full Time
Are you looking to give back to seniors? If so, we have the perfect job for you! The Inn on Villa Lane Assisted Living and Memory Care is seeking a part-time Life Enrichment Assistant to join our team part time and lead the programming for up to 21 seniors in memory care.
Job Description:
The Life Enrichment Assistant is responsible for implementing a diverse range of activities and programs to promote mental, physical, and emotional well-being of each resident in our community. At Chancellor Health Care, our Honoring Choice Program assesses the interest preferences, needs of each resident, and fosters a positive, inclusive environment that encourages social interaction, creativity, and growth.
Responsibility of the Life Enrichment Assistant:
-Works with Life Enrichment Coordinator in developing and maintaining a monthly calendar of activities, events, and outings that cater to a variety of interests and abilities.
- Lead group activities such as arts and crafts, games, exercise classes, music sessions, cultural events, and educational workshops.
-Provide one-on-one support and interaction for individuals who may have specific needs or preferences.
-Maintain attendance logs, and participant feedback to track engagement levels and program effectiveness.
-Markets The Inn in the community at large when opportunities arise.
-Decorates memory care and assists with special events and holidays.
-Assists in mealtimes services, including escorting residents to and from the dining room.
-Drives the bus for resident transportation as needed.
-Serves on committees as assigned.
-Performs other duties as assigned by Life Enrichment Coordinator
Ideal Candidate:
A desire to work with seniors that have memory impairments such as Alzheimer's and dementia.
Energetic, creative and have compassion.
Good communication skills
A can-do attitude.
Commitment and resilience
Work as a team player
Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
Ability to be organized and efficient.
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
