As a Linux/Unix Systems Specialist, you will manage and maintain the Voice Core Engineering and Test Teams' Linux and Unix-based systems. Your focus will be on ensuring the stability, security, and performance of these systems to support the Team. You will provide technical expertise in Linux/Unix systems administration, Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL database management, automation through scripting, and system performance optimization. Emphasis will be placed on cloud readiness and infrastructure configuration to support scalable services. Main Responsibilities System Management:
Install, configure, and maintain Linux/Unix servers and related hardware. Ensure systems run efficiently and securely. Database Management:
Expertise in Oracle SQL and PostgreSQL, with the ability to analyze and enhance database performance. Automation and Scripting:
Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency using tools like shell scripting, Python, or Ansible. Troubleshooting and Support:
Provide technical support for Linux/Unix systems and applications, resolving system-related issues and collaborating with IT teams. Team Responsibilities:
As you integrate into the Team, you will learn and participate in: Implementing virtualization and cloud computing solutions. Deploying and supporting voice technologies in large-scale network environments. Applying network security, server operating systems, and open-source platforms. Managing voice test platforms and ensuring robust simulation environments. Developing comprehensive test plans for assessing system scalability, performance, redundancy, and maintainability. Analyzing complex test data to drive quality assurance in real-world conditions. What We Look For in a Candidate Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. Experience:
5+ years in a Linux/Unix environment, with a strong grasp of system administration and performance optimization. Skills:
Proficiency in automation scripting (e.g., Python, Shell), Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, and familiarity with cloud computing (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure). Capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues across diverse environments. Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities. Highly professional, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. The salary range for this position is $103,711 - $138,281 based on location and experience. Specific pay varies by individual skills and experience. Location:
