Litigation Legal Assistant - Hybrid Hybrid schedule offered after training Excellent benefits package! A premier Syracuse law firm is looking to hire an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant. This role provides a wide range of administrative support to a team of attorneys. Duties include preparing complex legal documents, interacting with clients and courts, scheduling, facilitating the meeting of deadlines, utilizing practice specific legal software, providing direction to junior level legal assistants and performing billable work, as needed. Duties & Responsibilities: " Handling more substantive legal work " Drafting and formatting memos, correspondence, legal documents and various forms " Proofreading materials for correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting " Communicating with clients on behalf of attorneys " State and Federal E-filing " Preparing Table of Contents, Table of Authorities, and transcripts " Maintaining attorney calendars " Performing billable work as needed " Assisting in the development of legal assistants in the practice group Job Requirements " 5+ years of legal administrative experience " Litigation experience is required " College degree a plus " Notary public license preferred " Advanced knowledge of the most current processes and procedures for the respective practice area, for example, docketing knowledge and electronic filing for commercial litigation practice area " Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SmartSheets, PG specific legal software, and DocuSign " Strong multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to comply with deadlines and priorities established by attorneys " Outstanding written and verbal communication skills " Strong research and analytical skills " Superb proofreading skills with high attention to detail Key Resource Group, LLC considers applicants for all positions without regard to gender, race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, sexual orientation, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, citizenship, veteran status, gender expression and/or identity, or any other class protected by federal, state, or local laws.
