We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Legal Assistant to support a busy solo law practice focused on personal injury, insurance disputes, medical malpractice, construction accidents, wrongful death, and civil litigation.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and administrative skills, experience working in a fast-paced legal environment, and a commitment to delivering exceptional support clients.

Key Responsibilities:
Draft and prepare legal documents including complaints, discovery requests/responses, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence
Maintain and organize case files, records, medical documents, and correspondence in both physical and electronic formats
Schedule depositions, medical exams (IME), court dates, client meetings, and mediations/arbitrations
Communicate with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and court personnel
Assist with preparing legal arguments, summaries, and trial materials File documents with courts, including electronic filing (e-filing) in state and federal jurisdictions
Track and manage important case deadlines and ensure compliance with filing requirements
Perform legal research and gather documentation to support litigation and settlements
Monitor and summarize incoming medical records, bills, and insurance documentation
Assist with settlement preparation and disbursement, including lien resolution and client communications
Support attorneys with trial preparation and courtroom logistics when necessary
Qualifications:
Experience as a Legal Assistant in personal injury or litigation Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and case management systems Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software (e.g., Clio, Outlook)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently
