ag.ny.gov/job-postings/attorneys The Office of the New York State Attorney General (OAG) is seeking an experienced litigator to serve as an Assistant Attorney General in the Suffolk Regional Office (RO). The RO handles state counsel representation, defending the state of New York and its agencies, officials, and employees in various civil litigation matters, including those involving public employment, health, law enforcement, corrections, finance, insurance, taxation, and mental hygiene. The office offers diverse litigation practice with opportunities to handle all phases of litigation from inception through trial. Requirements: Minimum of three (3) years of litigation experience. Ability to handle all phases of investigations and litigation from start to finish. Strong writing, analytical, organizational, negotiation, and supervisory skills. Residency in or intention to become a resident of New York State. Admitted to practice law in New York State. Citizenship of the United States, per Public Officers Law. Two-year commitment upon hiring. The salary range is $83,594 - $178,463 plus $4,000 in location pay. For more information about compensation, visit
