Job Description Job Title: RN - Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Duration: 26 weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of LDRP experience License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, EFM, NRP
Must-Have: Experience with all aspects of LDRP patient care Experience with circulating c-sections Experience with newborn care including heel sticks, 24-hour testing, NAS scoring, and lactation support Skillset to work LDRP support within the department
Description: We are seeking a registered nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery/Postpartum. The facility has 174 licensed beds and is not designated as a trauma center. It is recognized for its stroke accreditation. The unit requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum care. First-time travelers will not be accepted. The patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines for RNs, with a CNA assigned per shift. Required skills include the ability to provide comprehensive care for LDRP patients, assist in c-sections, and offer newborn care. Resource team requirements include support from charge nurses, case managers, and attending physicians. Travelers may be required to float to various facilities within the region based on patient needs. Schedule includes every other weekend and 75% of holidays. Requests for time off will be approved up to 6 days, excluding holidays, and must be added to the end of the contract if not fulfilled. Scrub color is navy blue, with hospital-issued scrubs provided during work hours.
