Position:
MRI Technologist II - PRN Weekend at Outpatient Imaging Affiliates Location:
Washington, DC Shift:
Weekends, 8am to 4:30pm. The location performs contrast and non-contrast exams, so IV start skills are required. Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, the MRI technologist: Performs routine to complex magnetic resonance procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. Ensures services are performed safely, complying with guidelines and regulations. Collaborates with the imaging team, providing and seeking feedback for clinical improvement. Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum 2 years as an MRI Technologist. Education:
Associate's Degree in Radiology or completion of an accredited two-year radiology program. Licensure/Certification:
ARRT certification in Radiography, current ARRT MR registration, state licensure, and BLS certification within 60 days of hire. Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of MRI procedures and protocols. Proficiency in MRI equipment operation and ancillary tools. Ability to work independently, multitask, and communicate effectively. Understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology. Computer literacy, including data management and digital archiving. We utilize advanced imaging modalities for diagnosis, consultation, and intervention, interpreted by highly trained radiologists. Learn more at
