Position Overview: The Senior RF Applications Engineering Manager will lead a team of experienced engineers in our Mesa, AZ location. Your team is responsible for the demonstration and design-in success of our 5G GaN-on-SiC power amplifier products. You will interface with our worldwide team daily and frequently with global customers. The role will require domestic and international travel up to 10% of the time.

Key Responsibilities: Lead a team of experienced Applications engineers. Key technical interface to our worldwide team and global customer base. Oversee the design and development of Doherty power amplifiers (PAs) using state-of-the-art GaN transistors. Guide the optimization of existing designs to meet stringent customer performance targets. Ensure thorough characterization of PAs for 5G applications using digital predistortion (DPD). Demonstrate a high level of personal energy and drive to succeed in a dynamic environment. Provide technical leadership and support to customers through technical reports, conference calls, and face-to-face meetings. Exhibit strong interpersonal intelligence in all project execution interactions with team members from multiple design centers and organizations. Provide feedback to the organization to improve processes, products, and technology. Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of designs, tests, and procedures. Involved in planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.
Key Competencies & Skills Required: Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills. Ability to manage complex issues and provide innovative solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability and knowledge of Lean Practices, Six Sigma is a plus. In-depth knowledge of GaN-on-SiC Power Amplifiers for 5G infrastructure applications.
Required Qualifications and Experience: Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline with a strong project management background. 15+ years of experience RF power amplifier design. Over 5 years in a management role within Engineering Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment, at both a detailed execution level and a strategic level. Previous high-volume manufacturing experience. Excellent communication and time management skills.
