As a SQL Server Database Administrator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of our database infrastructure. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply your expertise in SQL Server, automation, and cloud technologies to support enterprise-scale systems and drive operational excellence. What You Will Be Doing: Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server environments in alignment with best practices and internal standards.
Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
Manage backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
Implement and enforce robust security controls, including access management, encryption, and auditing.
Prioritize and implement automated solutions over manual processes to improve consistency and reduce operational risk.
Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to design scalable, high-performance database solutions.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database issues to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
Support deployment activities and provide production support, including incident response and root cause analysis.
Drive automation initiatives using PowerShell, T-SQL, or other tools to streamline routine administration tasks.
Ensure compliance with data governance frameworks, security policies, and audit readiness.
What You Will Likely Bring: 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA and/or Developer in enterprise environments.
Advanced proficiency in T-SQL, including complex query development and performance tuning.
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell for automation and administrative task optimization.
Familiarity with SQL Server architecture, internals, and high availability solutions such as AlwaysOn, clustering, and replication.
Solid understanding of database security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
What Could Set You Apart: Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Python.
Exposure to cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Integration Services (SSIS).
Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and support production incident management.
