Our coaches must be committed to the personal development of our student-athletes. This includes teaching them skills related to the sport, helping students develop a competitive nature, and teaching ethical behavior, good sportsmanship, leadership, and life skills. Qualifications
At least 18 years of age. Experience working with children preferred. Must be comfortable working with and around school-age children. First Aid/CPR certified. 1 to 2 years coaching experience preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage groups of students safely and effectively. Organize practice and game plans. Communicate effectively with AD, staff, students, and parents. Stay informed about weekly sports emails, updates, and changes. Follow all guidelines in the Upper School Coaches Handbook. Complete miscellaneous tasks and duties as requested. Other Duties and Responsibilities
Attend coaches meetings and mandatory parent meetings. Ensure students participate in a fair and sportsmanlike manner. Maintain safety and decorum during travel to away games. Know league, section, and state bylaws relevant to the sport. Provide guidance for middle and/or lower school programs where applicable. Perform related duties as required or assigned. Knowledge, Skill & Ability Requirements
Experience coaching students aged 13-19. Background in the sport interested in coaching. Working Conditions
May involve extended standing or walking. Primarily outdoors, exposed to weather extremes. Our Mission
