Since 1993, the professional services firm FosterThomas has been proud to provide our worldwide clients with human capital management (HCM) consulting services in the fields of systems implementation, payroll project management, human resources management, and talent acquisition. We deliver tailored cost-containment HCM consulting services to easily meet some of the most complex challenges that our clients face daily. We are currently assisting our client based in Boston, MA, in the search for a Payroll Administration & Benefit Specialist. This is a hybrid, full-time, salaried position (4 days in office, 1-day WFH). Primary Function: Manages day-to-day payroll, HR administration and benefit activities, reporting to the HR Manager. Duties and Responsibilities: 2. Administer and process employee weekly payroll , Benefit, and conduct annual benefits audits. 3. Administer and Process Unions certified payroll. 4. Support registration of a new company in ADP, creating new company code. 5. Support Registering for new company in different region (and relevant taxes). 6. Manage benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies (Health insurance, 401k, STD, LDT, Life insurance). 7. Maintaining physical and digital files for employees, including documents related to benefits, attendance, and performance. 8. Ensuring that the company adheres to labor laws and employment standards. 9. Support the HR Manager in implementing, defusing, and updating company policies for HR and programs. 10. Ensure that policies, procedures, and HR programs are consistently administered, aligned with organizational goals and follow professional standards as well as state and federal regulatory requirements and laws. 11. Process onboarding and all aspects of employee information, paperwork, and record keeping in multiple databases and personnel files. 12. Coordinate open enrollment and benefits communication. 13. Mange vacation tracking and support implementation of ADP time and attendance. 14. Other HR administrative duties as requested. Qualifications: • 4-year bachelor’s degree in HR with Business Management focus or equivalent training and related experience • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a payroll role with a strong service orientation (experience in the unionized construction sector is recommended) • Minimum of 5 years’ of Union payroll experience • Experience registering for new company in different regions • Knowledge of labor laws and key legislation affecting human resources and general employment • Minimum 5 years of experience with ADP Workforce Now – HR & Benefits / Payroll / Reporting • MS Office proficiency with minimum intermediate level skills- particularly in Excel • Benefits administration experience and knowledge of applicable legislation (HIPAA, COBRA, ACA etc.) • Familiarity with – directed health plans, i.e., HRA, HSA, is preferred • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion • Ability to multi-task activities The candidate must be able to work in the USA without requesting future visa sponsorship.
