Job Summary:
The Global BI Governance Manager is responsible for unifying and streamlining business intelligence efforts across all regions and departments. This role involves establishing governance frameworks, modernizing reporting tools, and empowering stakeholders with reliable insights. The position enhances operational efficiency globally by driving data-driven decision-making and leading the adoption and improvement of a trusted BI platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Governance & Standardization
Establish and lead a Global BI Governance council with IT/Data teams to formalize and processes. Align global stakeholders on commercial metric definitions and data quality rules. Maintain an enterprise data dictionary and reporting SLAs. Define the global report and dashboard intake process, act as business focal person to IT counterpart. Continuously review and update governance frameworks to ensure they remain aligned with evolving business needs and regulatory requirements. Establish and enforce data quality standards and best practices across the organization.
Assessment & Strategy Execution
Assess existing reports/dashboards across regions/departments, document metric discrepancies and data quality gaps. Define and execute a roadmap to retire legacy tools and migrate users to a harmonized BI platform. Regularly assess the effectiveness of the BI strategy and make necessary adjustments.
Platform Design & Modernization
Redesign 50+ legacy reports into interactive Tableau dashboards with role-based access and reusable templates. Partner with IT to integrate CRM/ERP data into a centralized warehouse (e.g., Snowflake) Build certified datasets/reports/dashboards as self-service catalog. Continuously evaluate and enhance the BI platform to improve performance, scalability, and user experience.
Adoption & Change Management Leadership
Train global teams on the new governance framework; create documentation and phased timelines to retire legacy systems. Monitor usage analytics to optimize performance and address adoption barriers. Develop and execute ongoing training programs. Promote the benefits of the unified BI platform to foster a data-driven culture.
Continuous Improvement
Evolve governance frameworks and data models to support new products, regions, or regulations. Report on ROI, including reduced report duplication and faster decision-making. Conduct regular reviews of BI processes and tools. Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and improvement.
Travel:
5-10% International and Domestic travel.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required
Strong understanding of BI/data governance framework. Deep understanding of BI platform, data visualization, and reporting best practices. Ability to create and maintain data dictionaries and enforce data quality standards. Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and drive adoption without direct authority. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and training. Knowledge of relevant commercial systems and data models including but not limited to Salesforce, Oracle applications, eCommerce solutions, and data management tools.
Preferred
Mastery of Tableau for dashboard design and performance tuning. Intermediate SQL skills for data validation and collaboration with engineering teams. Familiarity with data governance tools (Collibra).

Experience:
Required
Minimum of 7 years of experience in BI/analytics, with at least 1-2 years leading enterprise dashboard unification projects. Extensive experience with BI platform or Tableau for dashboard design, user experience and modern visualization. Proven experience in establishing and maintaining data/BI governance frameworks. Familiarity with commercial operations (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success) metrics and workflows. Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring timely delivery. Knowledge of data security, compliance best practices and ensuring the scalability of BI platforms.
Preferred
Exposure to health care or medical device industry Familiarity with data governance tools (Collibra).
Education:
Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $136,403.00 and $181,870.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
Victor:
For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $110,573.00 and $147,431.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
