This position collaborates with our Head Start program staff based in our three service areas: Bergen, Paterson, and Jersey City, New Jersey.
Position Summary
The Manager of Data Recording & Analysis (DRA) is responsible for managing Head Start databases to ensure that reporting is accurate, timely, and that the outcomes and results can be effectively communicated to staff, funders, board members, and other stakeholders. This position ensures compliance with monitoring and serves as the Data Storyteller, helping the program identify trends and make adjustments accordingly.

Oversee the effective utilization and integrity of Head Start databases. Coordinate and ensure the conversion of all Head Start files to the ChildPlus Data Management System. Collaborate with the Professional Development department to train all new Head Start hires, current staff, and Head Start leadership in data entry and use of relevant databases. Provide individual training for staff as needed. Monitor data accurate implementation and note trends to share with leadership for program planning. Generate reports needed for grant applications. Ensure the timely completion of reports. Assist program staff to create, distribute, and analyze annual client surveys. Assist Head Start Directors in managing grants at the program level to ensure that all HS staff understand and comply with the level of service and reporting requirements for their respective programs. Assist with all marketing and Head Start recruitment efforts, including fliers, brochures, newsletters, email blasts, and website updates. Maintain the confidentiality of all client information. Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree Experience working with databases preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Applications Excellent written and communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Valid New Jersey driver’s license and use of own vehicle for self-transportation to and from various agency sites.
