Your impact
We’re seeking a senior Project Manager with a background in environmental remediation and operations, maintenance and monitoring (OM&M) projects to oversee the delivery of challenging projects for a global private sector client.
Based in Syracuse, New York or the immediate surrounding area, you'll have the opportunity to advance your career by engaging with a key client representative to successfully deliver existing remediation projects and expand our business in this Region. You'll work alongside recognized technical experts, developing and implementing comprehensive site strategies, and delivering innovative solutions for some of our most challenging site issues.
You will collaboratively manage project teams that include both field and office-based staff, senior technical consultants, and technical subject matter experts, with support from Jacobs' internal program management. Your focus will be on leading and delivering multiple environmental projects with a strong emphasis on environmental remediation and OM&M. You will support proposal and cost estimate preparation, subcontractor procurement, financial management including client invoicing, schedule management, staff mentorship and leadership, client relationship building, regulatory agency correspondence, data interpretation, and report development.
Projects require thoughtful strategy development, leveraging technical expertise, and collaboration with clients and stakeholders. All projects must be delivered with the high safety, compliance, and quality standards expected by both Jacobs and our client. This is a position located in Syracuse where you’ll primarily work from both the client site in Syracuse and Jacobs office with flexibility to work from home to meet project delivery goals while maintaining balance.

Here's what you'll need
Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental studies, or other closely related field. At least 12 years of experience conducting environmental remediation site investigations/characterizations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, remedial designs/actions, and OM&M. Strong interest and understanding of groundwater treatment systems operations and troubleshooting for optimal performance. Experience as a project manager at environmental remediation sites involving contaminated media including soil, sediments, or groundwater. Experience identifying, troubleshooting and resolving key issues impacting environmental remedy implementation and operations (technical, regulatory, compliance, risk, stakeholder, etc.) and emerging issues. Experience with leading a team in implementing site strategies and remedial treatment operations and effectively managing change over time. Experience as a liaison or point of contact communicating clearly and effectively with clients, subcontractors, team members, regulatory agencies, property owners, and other consultants.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
Related professional certification (or the ability to obtain and maintain), including but not limited to, Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, Professional Geologist (PG) license, or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

The base salary range for this position is $130,900.00 to $198,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
