We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Tool Maker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. The CNC Machinist/Tool Maker will play a crucial role in ensuring that products meet quality standards while adhering to safety protocols.
Duties
- Must now how to use/read mics and calipers
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines for various machining processes.
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, to ensure accuracy of machined parts.
- Set up and operate Bridgeport type mills.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any operational issues.
- Cut, shape and form metal parts using manual drill press, lathes, power saws, snips, files, sand blasters, surface grinders and mallets.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Vocational school or apprenticeship preferred
- Ability to operate one or more machines to produce parts as directed
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
- Knowledge of metal properties and other material
- Outstanding mathematical skills and analytical abilities
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
