Marine Autonomous Vehicles Project Director

ARMINES, the Coordinator of the EC-H2020 funded project “Gliders For Research, Ocean Observations and Management: Infrastructure and Innovation” (GROOM II), is seeking a Project Director to coordinate project activities. Marine Autonomous Unmanned Vehicles (AUVs) are extensively used for marine research and long-term observing systems, and are increasingly adopted by private companies within the Blue Economy sector. This sector is rapidly growing due to advancements in marine robotics and sensing technologies, as well as the rising demand for diverse services. The operation of these vehicles and their services depends on a network of research infrastructures across Europe, supporting in-situ and remote sea operations, data management of numerous AUVs, and various applications. The activities involve significant IT resources, R&D efforts to enhance vehicle and sensor capabilities, and managerial and financial management to operate infrastructures and provide access to a broad user base. We are looking for a Project Director to lead and promote these activities within a European Research Infrastructure for Marine Autonomous Vehicles.
