Develop strategic partnerships for cross-promotional and revenue opportunities. Collaborate with sports teams for on-site and off-site broadcasts, contests, and promotions. Create and manage promotional sales opportunities to market WGN and on-air talent. Manage WGN Radio marketing promo inventory, including writing, scheduling, and trafficking promos. Handle on-air PSAs, scheduling with the Traffic department. Coordinate with all station departments on initiatives and programs. Work with sales on program ideas for clients and best practices. Maintain station websites and pages related to promotions and contests. Develop and write event summaries and content for newsletters. Create and publish contests using third-party platforms and WordPress. Draft contest rules, liaising with legal for high-value or unique contests. Manage station on-air contests, winner outreach, and prize fulfillment. Develop strategies to grow newsletter databases. Write on-air talking points for station events and promotions. Prepare sales recaps with metrics and recommendations. Manage station’s social media accounts. Handle contracts for events and partnerships. Serve as web editor for show podcasts. Coordinate with cross-company departments on projects. Manage station comments email inbox. Participate in content calls and share relevant information. Oversee station award submissions. Requirements and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, or related field. Excellent communication skills, oral and written. Desktop editing skills preferred. Minimum five years’ broadcasting experience. Leadership, positive attitude, and creativity. Knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is a plus. Availability to work weekends and off-hours. Ability to work onsite.
