Job Title Marketing Assistant - Part Time - Baxter Arena
Department Events Planning
Essential Functions
The Marketing Assistant will be responsible in assisting with marketing efforts for Baxter Arena. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to work in the facility and/or the sports industry as well as outstanding communication skills.
Work Schedule Varies
Additional Duties Responsible for prospecting, selling, cultivating and maintaining client relationships for Baxter Arena events Coordinate guest communication through the concert announcements, pre-show, and post-event periods and oversee tracking of seating problems and guest concerns, provide resolutions and responses in conjunction with Omaha Athletics and Baxter Arena staff Maintain placing ad buys for concerts and other Baxter Arena events Assist in maintaining the Baxter Arena website Assist in maintaining the Baxter Arena social media platforms Assist in developing the marketing plans for Baxter Arena Assist with media requests at concerts Generate ideas and execute plans on how to market our facility to the community Create ideas for ways to promote Baxter Arena events Assisting with community relations and seeking events to attend as well as attending events as a representative of Baxter Arena Assisting with the athletics external department as needed
Required Qualifications •Ability to work days, nights, and weekends as needed, flexible scheduling •Outstanding verbal and written communication skills •Ability to work in a fast paced environment and under tight deadlines •High standard of professionalism, ethics, excellence and integrity •Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
